Licensed by the California State Board of Acupuncture, Vlasta Fencl earned the degree of Diplomate in Oriental Medicine and is certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Vlasta graduated from Yo San University in Los Angeles with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yo San University (http://www.yosan.edu/) was founded by the Ni Family, now in their 38th generation of healing through Acupuncture combined with Herbal Medicine and the whole-person approach.

Vlasta practiced at the Yo San University Clinic during and after completing her education there.

She obtained a Doctorate Degree in Physical Anthropology and also holds a Master's of Science in Biology and Physical Anthropology from the Comenius University of Bratislava, Slovakia.

Vlasta sees acupuncture and herbal medicine as health care options that are effective in treating illness without the side effects of some Western medicines. By treating the whole person and not just the symptoms of the disease, acupuncture and herbal medicine promote wellness and longevity. Ancient Chinese philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine have been Vlasta’s life-long interests.
