First Office Visit

An acupuncture treatment session usually lasts from forty-five minutes to an hour, while the first visit may take a little over one hour to give the practitioner enough time to collect a thorough medical history and examine the patient. Once the needles are inserted into certain acupuncture points, they are left in for about twenty to thirty minutes while the patient relaxes in the treatment room. Depending on the condition of a patient, a series of treatment sessions may be necessary to achieve desired result.
